Ballerinas silk scarf

Ballerinas is a scarf inspired by the fascinating world of ballet. The graphics are intended as an abstract passing through some of the most important current in Ballet history, Classicism, Romance and Modernism, using techniques from the namesake artistic currents. Inside the central medallion is a representation of Classicism with the scene in the beginning of Swan lake ballet, surrounded by an interesting frame.
The ballerina, painted in Impressionism style, makes reference to Anna Pavlova in Giselle, a fundamental opera for Romance. The Art Nouveau muse, Loie Fuller, is represented in the “le serpentine” dance, in a graphics that reinterprets the decorative elements of 1900 style.
The red ballet skirt, in contrast with the complementary background, symbolizes the Expressionist passion that gave Pina Bausch, ballerina and choreographer, her place in the history of ballet. The Surrealist ballerina is represented with several arms in order to illustrate the famous scene in the Revelations ballet, considered one of the most representative modern ballet shows.

The five centers of the composition are connected by Art Nouveau decorative elements and ballet specific symbols. The graphics are surrounded by a frame in Pointillism style, the purpose being to discretely create an interesting chromatic vibration.
The graphics was initially created in ink and acrylics by designer Andreea Tincu, and then digitally processed and printed on silk.
Each scarf is packed in a custom black box and premium golden paper. Upon request, the scarf can be personalized with the desired name or initials, in which case the delivery may take 2 more days. The personalized scarf needs to be paid in advance. A card with a message can also be included in the package.
