Iarna pe ulita silk shawl scarf
„Iarna pe ulita” is a scarf that embounds the unmistakable charm of Christmas Eve in the country side, when children go caroling from house to house and are given apples, walnuts and bagels. In Romanian tradition, the children are the first who begin caroling on Christmas Eve, followed by the young men. The scarf composition captures the spirit and beauty of the holiday, thanks to the silhouettes of children with delicate faces, inspired by portraits by Nicolae Tonitza, and the traditional costumes. Behind them is a stylized gate from Maramures, that symbolically represents the village area, a sacred element which represents the center of the world, in the context of the Romanian country side.
The composition was created by designer Andrea Tincu in watercolor and ink, and then digitally processed and printed on premium silk. Each scarf is shipped in a custom black box and packed in golden silk paper. Upon request, a card can be included and printed with the desired names or initials. Size: 67 x 136 cm
