Hommage a Brancusi silk scarf
The "Hommage a Brancusi" scarf is a special edition that celebrates both the genius of the Romanian artist Constantin Brancusi and a meaningful cultural initiative, the "Ambulance for Monuments." Through the sale of this scarf, 10% of the proceeds contributed to the restoration of the roof of the fortified church in Vermes, a national heritage site that had collapsed in previous years. The "Ambulance for Monuments" project focuses on safeguarding immovable cultural heritage with the help of volunteers and local craftsmen, under the guidance of specialists in the conservation and restoration of historical monuments. The graphics of the "Hommage a Brancusi" scarf are intricate, featuring pictorial interpretations of Constantin Brancusi’s most important works. You will recognize "The Kiss," "The Infinite Column," "The Gate of the Kiss," "The Table of Silence," as well as "Miss Pogany." Alongside these works, the design includes graphic interpretations of sketches that led to the final sculptures. The dominant shades of the scarf pay homage to the materials representative of Brancusi – wood, stone, bronze, and marble – surrounded by the deep blue of the sky, symbolizing the artist’s ideal, expressed in his famous quote: “I did not want to sculpt the bird, I wanted to sculpt the flight.” (C. Brancusi). The composition was manually created by designer Andreea Tincu in acrylic colors, then digitally processed and printed on silk. Each scarf is packaged in golden silk paper and a premium box. The protagonist of the campaign dedicated to Constantin Brancusi and Romanian heritage is Paula Herlo, a journalist with over 20 years of experience at PRO TV News, an International Emmy Award winner for television news, and an ambassador for the "Ambulance for Monuments" project. Upon request, the scarf can be personalized with the desired name or initials, which may extend the delivery time by 2 days. Personalized scarves can be paid for by bank transfer or card. You can also opt for a greeting card in white or with a handwritten message.
