Marama Silk Scarf
The Marama silk scarf tells a story that transcends time, weaving a delicate bridge between past and present, tradition and modernity. The once-precious borangic silk is reborn in pure silk, while graphic motifs inspired by ancient floral and geometric decorations are given new life. In the world of the Romanian village, the Muscel Marama was worn during celebrations and carried within it the mystery of the married woman—the one who gathers and ties together the threads of life.The composition was created by designer Andreea Tincu using ink and watercolors, then digitally refined and printed on silk. Each scarf is wrapped in golden silk paper and presented in a premium box.10% of every sale will be donated to the restoration of the Sfânta Înălțare Church, an 18th-century historical monument known for its massive oak crosses and Brâncovenesc frescoes. The funds will be used to strengthen the structure, preserve the mural paintings, and return this pilgrimage site to the community. This initiative is part of the Ambulance for Monuments project, launched in 2016 by the Monumentum Association and developed by a network of independent heritage organizations active in various regions of Romania.The ambassador of the campaign dedicated to the Marama of Muscel and Romanian heritage is Paula Herlo, a PRO TV news reporter for over 20 years, International Emmy Award winner for television news, and supporter of the Ambulance for Monuments project.Upon request, the scarf can be personalized with a name or initials, which may extend the delivery time by up to 2 days. Personalized scarves must be paid in advance by bank transfer or card. A greeting card—either blank or with a handwritten message—can also be added.
